Re: Today I mostly .....
I'm pretty sure there was an old 2000AD (it have been Action) story about a lift in a building that took passengers to the 13th floor where they would face some sort of retribution. I would be very careful about using the lift in your building especially if you have some sort of guilty secret................Today I mostly watched my boss being chewed up and spat out by a bunch of Urologists.....and I really really wanted to ask if they were taking the p*ss - but I quite like my job.

Today I mostly...
Attacked the underside of the Saab with underseal. Was more windy than I would have liked and I've now got the fun game of trying to get the stuff out of my hair. Lovely.
Probably get the front bumper off and radiator out next week to do the front crossmember properly, but most of the car's done now save for the very middle of the floorpan, which I'll need to get it up on the ramps to do and the areas actually inside the engine bay. Though I'll need to get out the air filter, washer bottle, battery etc to really do them properly. ...Should really get the gearbox oil cooler out as well...I remember what a pig that was last time I did it though so we'll see...It's fastened on to the nearside chassis leg, buried underneath the inlet manifold, alternator etc and is a real pig to get to. Other than that it's just the inside of the doors, behind the trim panels in the back and under the boot floor and I should be done for a while.
At least I didn't find any more holes in it today!
Did manage to get quite a bit on the exhaust though apparently, made a right stink when I started driving!

Re: Today I mostly .....
Today I took the flushing mechanism out of the toilet cistern (concealed type) to hunt down the cause of constant water running into the pan.
Discovered the rubber seal that goes between the flusher mechanism and the exit into the pan had developed a small blister in the rubber. So burst it and re-assembled the flush and all appears OK.
So have ordered new seal and new diaphragm for the water inlet as that was leaking as well.

Today I mostly went to Oslo's biggest open market, haggled on two radios, a Blaupunkt Nizza (Norwegian rare version) 5.4 GBP, and a Tandberg Sølvsuper 2 (mod 1938) 15,4 GBP.
Both radios sell for a total of 1000 GBP at the antique stores in Oslo!!!
But I found no Lada parts......

Re: Today I mostly .....
Planted a load of bulbs, dug the vegetable patch, dug a new patch for rhubarb, trimmed the neighbours quite invasive climber and really thought hard about cutting the grass but decided I couldn't be bothered, I've already cut it twice this year.
Re: Today I mostly .....
Yesterday, collected two new Vredestein 4.00 x 8.00 8ply tyres and two new inner tubes so I can get the wheels rebuilt for the Harvey Frost trailer. The rims are split rims held together with 12 nuts and bolts and mount onto a 3-stud hub.

Re: Today I mostly .....
Not to sure about sheep, but if I had a bigger garden I'd have a goat for the milk, unfortunately it won't be happening for a while. Plus they would eat everything up to and including small children
I]'ll try and get the rhubarb in next week and some garlic and winter peas in the ground. Late winter/spring I think I'm going for (a few) cerlariac, parsnips, onions, potatoes and carrots (it is a small garden!), all the usual suspects. The kids love to help out and we found that they are more likely to eat stuff that they've helped prepare.
