Cider

Post by Avtovaz » Mon Aug 06, 2007 11:02 pm

Recently it seems Pear ciders have become more common here, i am a pure apple lover, but i am finding the temptation to try pear ciders. While pear offers a very nice and different taste to the Apple ciders, im not totally convinced ill be buying much more pear cider.

Has anyone else tested pear ciders and come to any personal conclusion over the apple ciders?

Of cause, drink responsibly, and use a spell checker.

If its perries your after, and I am appauled to be saying this, but the dreaded Weatherspoons does have quite the range! You should also conCIDER (see what I did there!?) the Hogarden summer fruits cider. Its rather like Jauques by Strongbows version. Well worth a sip id say.

I'm very fond of Spanish ciders. "El Gaitero" is my favorite.

Never heard about those pear ciders, though.

Down my way there is a pear cider which a mate of mine drinks all the time called Brothers Pear Cider. I don't drink alcohol anymore, so can't really say I have tried it properly, but did have a wee taste. I found it a bit on the sweet side, but would imagine it would be very refreshing on a hot day. However, of the two, I would say apples are the better drink.

IKEA sells pear cider, however i wouldn't suggest that as a reason for going, but it helps when you're dragged there against your will, that along with the 50p Hotdogs.
