Sorry to hear that - I'll put this up on the French Car Forums as well if you'd like. We tend to spot Citroens!

John,

I've put a post up there asking anyone to keep their eyes open and either contact you via this forum or to drop me a PM which I'll forward if we find anything.

Here's a link to the post in case it would be useful: Link to French Car Forum Post.

Hope the cars turn up undamaged.

To be honest, I'm seriously considering getting one for the Skoda and if I decide to keep it (which let's face it...I probably will, am far too attached to it) the Saab, given that they both seem to be high risk cars now of being stolen to order. Especially the Saab it seems. They're both about as secure as a soggy teabag as well. ...Well...The Skoda does I guess have an added security device in that there are several arcane rituals that you have to perform in order to have any chance of getting it to start at all, and another three that you have to do to make it run for more than 30 seconds without backfiring and waking up the entire neighbourhood (and flooding itself).

Best security we're using at the moment is that the Saab is boxed in behind a brand new VW company car, and the Skoda behind the Xantia which does at least have reasonably modern deadlocks and immobilisers. Keys live in the bedroom, so anyone getting to them has to get past us first. Oh, and the German Shepherd/Husky cross who sleeps downstairs.

Skoda hopefully later this year will be moving into the garage once we get a shed which will help me rest a bit easier.
