The Definitive Spotted Thread...

Post by Zelandeth » Tue May 07, 2013 10:21 pm

This has proved to be a pretty popular topic over on a Saab forum that I frequent, and can be a bit of good fun. Both in terms of finding out cars that are out there, and seeing who's seen your car, and bringing to light potential project cars to be saved. Having them in one place seems to help as more people are likely to look at it.

I'll start! Two in three days actually, was right surprised.

On Sunday afternoon, white Riva Estate spotted southbound on the M6 in the vicinity of Lancaster.

This afternoon, red E plate Niva 1.6 heading south along Broad Street in Aberdeen. Looked mint! Surely the owner must be on here.

Only other Niva I know in this area is on a housing estate in Inverurie, looking in quite a sorry state. Was a year or so last time I was out that way, no idea if it's still there.

Yeah, I think that any interesting or oddball vehicles qualify here...as most of us I reckon are likely to take note of anything unusual.

Some nice finds there...Love the Minivan, parents had one almost identical to that when I was about 3. Imagine it's long since gone to the forecourt in the sky.

Always fancied a 3.5S. Met Police used to remove the hubcaps because they slowly rotated on the wheel and sliced into the valves!

There's a white niva three or four blocks east of my girls house, in catania Sicily, and saw a red one out at Viagrande, the two at the wrecker are pretty abused, breaks my heart, I'll try for pics

No photos unfortunately as I was driving at the time - but was following a pair of brand new Morgan 3-wheelers on the way into Aberdeen this evening. One in red, one in Brittish Racing Green.

They look fantastic, they sound even better, and don't half shift...

Oh if only I had the odd thirty grand sitting around...

Very nice. I can't pin down the exact model from memory I'm afraid, but that's definitely a Bristol.

Given that even the latest of that shape of 'em must be 20 odd years old now, reckon they count.
