We will never get to know the true depth of it. We may think we have the "right" to privacy, but in reality non of us have it.

For example anyone with a mobile phone (and that's most of us) is constantly monitored by the networks, logging every call, every text and every location we visit. They do not want to do this. They have been instructed to do so. Times, dates, duration are collected and logged. This information is kept on record for years. Details of every text message sent and received are all held indefinitely. The same applies to landlines, emails and internet use.

Yes, the News of the World overstepped the mark in order to get a story. However, it's nowhere near as sinister as the faceless, unaccountable agencies employed by so called "elected" governments to gather every detail about as many individuals as possible.

Let's not forget the Digital Economy Bill which was snuck through under the radar while we were all busy with the run up to the election going on...

News of the World to close this Sunday! No doubt due to the mass exodus of advertisers.

It was registered two days ago before this breaking news. It's obviously been registered by someone at the very top.
