Spent the best part of the last two days replacing the EGR valve and cooler on the Freelander. You literally have to take everything off the engine to get at it.

... and it didn't cure the problem.....

Today I mostly bought one of these bad boys...... Bit a a squeeze getting it into the car, damn heavy too.... had to lay it down on it's side.... Yes it has a breather, yes it did all over the carpet in the back....nice smell of compressor oil in the back of the car now..... lots of granules trying ...

Voltages were fine with the engine running, but it dropped like a stone to just under 11V once off charge. Reckon there's a cell gone short. Started it up this afternoon to check the LHM level and it seemed fine having sat overnight, so hopefully that's sorted. Ah, missed the small nugget of inform...

Well hopefully that will sort it out but those voltages seem OK to me......
