Re: Dacia Duster

The duster uses Nissan x-trail transmission.
I was never thinking of it as a serious off roader, more a generic SUV.

Dacia Duster

Anyone got any thoughts on a Dacia duster. Dirt cheap new, Renault running gear, made in India. Looks very interesting.

Re: Very smart Lada Niva Cossack . . .

I have one the same colour scheme as that sitting in my garage. Needs some work for an MOT, welding of sills, both sides, inners and outers. Near side outrigger. The muppet who previously owned it filled the bottom of the wheel arches with expanding foam which totally rotted that area. Also, it had ...

Re: Charity cycle ride (blatant plug!!!)

Today was the big day, and what a day. Four monster climbs and three nail biting descents. My biggest concern was getting swept up by the broom wagon if I didn't make the cut off times. I got within 20 mins of the time on the first climb and then I stayed away reasonably ok mainly thanks to seriousl...

Re: Charity cycle ride (blatant plug!!!)

Only 19 weeks to go until my charity ride, it sounds alot but the weeks will soon disappear. I have upped my training this week, getting out every other day, either to the gym to do some serious high intensity work, or my preferred training, out on the bike. I managed to do 39 miles in the rolling ...

Re: Charity cycle ride (blatotant plug!!!)

Today was the Norwich 100 bike ride. An early start time of 7.15 at least allowed for most of the ride to be done before it got too hot. Finished in a time of 5 hr's 35 mins. Very pleased with that.

Re: Charity cycle ride (blatant plug!!!)

What an awful day it was today. I still had to get out on the bike as I need to keep the training on course. There was a strong north easterly wind that just blew and blew all the time. Made sure that the last quarter of the ride was back wind. 47 miles today, in 2 hours 50 mins. Tomorrow isn't look...
