Today I mostly .....
Re: Today I mostly .....
Discovered that I need to move house again at some point between now and 14th March. Not amused as I only moved down here a fortnight ago, and just finished unpacking the majority of the important boxes. Apparently the landlord isn't wishing to extend the current lease as they want to sell the place (I've moved in with friends in the middle of an existing lease). Argh!
Plan is to buy a place next through, albeit on rather shorter terms here than originally hoped - but we'll have to see. Would *really* rather avoid having to rent for six months and move AGAIN after that.

I am distinctly annoyed right now...

(Well, yesterday...)
Went house hunting. Some okay, but not very inspiring places. Bit irked that we haven't been able to get a viewing for the one we're most interested in yet - fingers crossed we'll get to that soon.

Oh that's not pretty! Not the worst I've seen, but close! We had a Nissan Cherry once which had suffered catastrophic overheating to the point that it had melted the spark plugs into the head. Still to this day don't know how the damage was limited to the head!

Must have been off a cylinder for a while!
Today I mostly visited relations in Sheffield. By virtue of this I now know that the rear seats of an Audi S3 are one of the most catastrophically uncomfortable places on the planet to be. What a stupid car...

Re: Today I mostly .....
Maybe. Really didn't feel that quick for a supposedly 300bhp car though, nor exciting. Sounds like something from a computer game too. Exhaust is bloody loud...but just a loud continual drone...no life to it at all. Handling from the passenger seat felt continually fidgety on anything other than a perfectly smooth straight bit of road.
Definitely not for me.
Pretty sure it doesn't actually have any suspension as well. The rear of the B pillar is carefully positioned as well so that you crack your head on it in the back seat over every bump too. Legroom is none-existent there as well as there is only about an inch of space under the front seats because your feet can't fit under there!
Seems to have been wonderfully engineered in every way to be honest to annoy me as much as possible!
That's before I even tried to use the sat nav...which also for some reason lacks an automatic dimming function...even my £60 one I got from Tesco does that...the rest of the systems filled me with as much joy, seems to me that the general design plan has been to make everything as complicated as possible.

Re: Today I mostly .....
Made a loaf of raisin bread....well the breadmaker did...I just popped the ingredients in.
During the middle of it, for some reason the RCCB in the consumer unit tripped taking out the sockets. Powered off the main breaker, back on with the RCCB and back on with the breaker and bread resumed cooking!
Jolly nice it was too, still warm smothered in butter.

Hung a new door on the bedroom
, noted that Difflock had imploded
, started the Vitara after being off the road for about 8 months
, noted that main petrol line had ruptured and was pouring petrol on to the tarmac drive

Have also noted that Difflock has packed up. Maybe it needs some Evo oil?
