Did you install any AV or Antispam software?

Cool. I wouldn't have been surprised if you had something sitting in a DMZ and scanning mail at the gateway.
Can you have multiple servers if you have say a large user base?

Re: Today I mostly .....
Was meant to be going to a local classic car show, yet that was cancelled due to the weather over the last week. In fact, the usual car parking area is about a foot under water, so that was never really going to work. Boo...
So...unexpected free day.
Main achievement of the day has been making it so that the stereo in the Saab is actually listenable. Previously it just degenerated into a crackly mess if you had it at a volume you could actually hear at anything above idle - even at lower volumes it was all mid-range frequencies with no bass or treble really to speak of. Photo below shows new and old next to each other.

You can't really see it in the photo, but the foam suspension in the old speaker has also started to disintegrate - probably in no small part responsible for the tendency to crackle when driven with any real power.
You're pretty much constrained to the 50mm form factor in the front due to the location of the speaker grills in the dash top (though I think some people have managed to shoe-horn in 60mm ones), especially on the passenger side where the larger magnet of the new speakers here is pressed hard up against the back of the glove compartment.
Nothing fancy, but they actually don't sound half bad (someone's already put *slightly* better than the original speakers in the back - I may tackle those at a later date). Especially for the twelve quid they cost and half hour it took to fit them (including the ten minutes it took me to retrieve the screw I dropped down the back of the dashboard). The head unit seems to be all right, being a Denon unit which I'd say from the looks of it was fitted in the mid 90s. Will be keeping my eyes open for a modern replacement - but finding one which won't look out of place might take a while.

Returned from the Hickstead Derby, it was a good event and back to work tomorrow
Washed and waxed the wife's Focus as it was covered in mud from car park at the Hickstead Derby.

Re: Today I mostly .....
Collected 60 sets of medical notes for 6 different NICE audits, it took all day and I started to think that maybe I had died and just hadn't noticed yet.
Re: Today I mostly .....
Got the medical done, completed the forms and sent off the application for my provisional bus driving license.

Re: Today I mostly .....
Got a book about four-wheel-drive vehicles from a local book shop because it had a picture of a Niva on the back cover.
Re: Today I mostly .....
Watched the rain. Again (or is that still?). Yet another relatively local classic car show cancelled due to the ground being waterlogged.
Let the van run for a bit, though it's running rubbish again - think the fuel filter's getting clogged again from the look of it - really need to drop and clean the tank out I think. Reckon I will before too much longer if we ever get a dry day! There's quite a bit of welding needs to be done in the vicinity of the tank - so it will have to come off at some point anyway...

Re: Today I mostly .....
Should have been tidying the flat up so that when my partner gets back from being away down south with friends for three weeks that he's got somewhere to put everything.
However...then I stumbled across plans for this...so spent most of the evening meticulously recolouring one to match my car.
...And discovered at the last hurdle that I didn't have any decent glue so it has some structural integrity issues - there will be a more tidily done version 2.0 I think in a couple of days.

Also need to make sure that I score the paper better where necessary. It's years since I last made one of these things...out of practice!

Re: Today I mostly .....
Any chance there's also a Lada you can print and fold like that?

Re: Today I mostly .....
This evening I mostly...
Cleaned my keyboard. Decided earlier in the week that it was getting utterly disgusting so needed to be tackled.
All keys (well, bar the spacebar which doesn't detach easily from these - so it was dealt with in situ) off, dumped them in the sonic cleaner for a while, then disinfected, then rinsed, dried and refitted. Hoovered the housing out to rid it of crumbs and other debris while the keys were off (not much in there actually). Upper housing could do with a clean too - need a spanner to get that off though so it will wait till the weekend. Just gave it a wipe down with disinfectant and attacked with the vacuum cleaner - doesn't get everything out of the grooves at the edges though.
Looks a bit better I think - and certainly is less of a biohazard than it was this morning!

Just wish the desk in general wasn't such a tip much of the time...I just need more space!

Today I mostly...
Printed out and folded a Lada Riva estate which didn't come out too well, maybe because I didn't use glue on that one. I also printed out and folded a Lada Niva, came out a bit better I think... using Tesco super glue.
Anyway, this is how they look like.

Re: Today I mostly .....
Fantastic old keyboards, have a few nice ones here - but always keep coming back to this one. Sure it drives everyone else in the flat (and probably the neighbours) mad due to the racket it makes, especially as I'm a pretty fast typist to start with and tend to batter the return key rather a lot...
Other favourites are the Apple Extended II, some of Keysonic's boards from the early 90s, and SGI's "Granite" boards (the earlier ones with the Alps keyswitches anyway), though I've yet to find one of them at a sensible price. Friend of mine has one and it's definitely a rival for the "M" to type on, but they usually go for stupid money on eBay. They also look great I think.
