Spent Friday night as a trainee recovery unit on the Blackpool Prom for the North West Stages and then Lytham Hall again as a recovery unit......Despite rain and slippy conditions, there was no work to do :-(

oooh nasty. Its not good when you have a pet depart from you, you get used to the looks for food, noises they make when they need to go out or want some attention (cats in our case)

Drove from Brackley to Aberdeen once again, having been staying with friends for the last two weeks, a week of that at Center Parcs at Elveden. Enjoyed it, but reckon we'll be going back to Sherwood next year as we usually do.

8:34 end to end including breaks (so probably about 7:15 actual driving time at a guess), and an utterly uneventful journey.

Still wish thought that the 107 was equipped with rocket launchers for dealing with the plentiful idiots in BMWs and Audis who were the sole cause of any stress during the journey. Oh, and the Polish lorry driver (well, the lorry had Polish plates on, so I assume he was...) who thought that turning right from the left lane on a roundabout straight in front of me A: from the wrong lane, and B: while signalling left, which made things momentarily rather interesting. Thankfully I was paying attention and the brakes aren't something I can fault in that car, so disaster was averted.

Even the sat-nav was co-operating and actually navigating the same route that I was actually going for a change.

Overall, pretty good trip. Back to work on Monday though...blarg. Rest of this evening is most likely going to be spent trying to catch up with the outside world which I haven't set eyes on for the last two weeks. E-mail's in three digits for a start...I may be some time.

I've ordered a new solenoid repair kit. Will post a picture later.
The car wouldn't start this morning. So it could be bus tomorrow :-(

Back on topic....There is a O/B repair place not far from me who does the engines for the lifeboats. The O/B needs a new impeller as it wasn't pumping water , just steam. So I am waiting on call back about that.

A rip cord on the Landy....interesting idea!

The guy is hopefully going to change it before I part with my cash. I wasn't going pay the price he wanted when it wasn't pumping water

And back to the starter motor issues.
