... So I come back on here after being off for a few weeks fettling, and THIS is what I find when I get back on !!!
Good Lord Above, firstly springs to mind, followed by 'what a lovely colour' ...
Then: how far is Limousin (Hi Mary !!!) from sunny wet Worcestershire, etc
I'm dumbstruck.
Well done Steve ............. If you DO change-out that front bumper fcs KEEP the old one, plus, if it was me, I'd KEEP the old, patched-up front wings on it, & maybe weld in some new metal in place of the holes and save a lot of work on the top joint inside the bonnet, plus keeping the original paintwork on it. Just like with a Rembrandt !!
(Steve, sending you a PM ...
BTW Simon Allen Hi ..... yes I should think 'we' would welcome seriously gifted Lada-ers like yourself at the 'Cosford Bash' on Sunday 10th May 2009 (we Lada Owners Club usually just arrange to gatecrash somewhere in a dignified, pre-arranged sort of way and preferably at little or no cost, plus its variously Billed as USSR Cars day, plus Wartburgs & Trabants IFA Club Day too, so we can blame it on them if we wanted to.
Plus anyone else who wants to go there with a Soviet Bloc car or similar, all welcome.
Oh, being RAF Museum Cosford & Cold War Museum, it's also FREE I think !
But PLEASE PLEASE bring your Niva V6 though too, Simon !!!

I have had a quote of £700 for removing and replacing both front wings and valance. Price includes respraying of all new parts plus bonnet.
The quote came from a bodyshop that used to do repairs for a Lada dealer, so they do have experience on these cars. I got their contact details from another Lada owner who I met at Cosford. They did a very good job replacing both front wings on his Riva.
I know Martin has had wings replaced before. Is £700 a good price?
