Got a vacuum advance tube finally, happy now gadget? Lol also ordered my gasket kit, butterfly for my choke, and spark plug leads, to be picked up Monday evening. Trying to find an air filter without ordering one, but no luck.

Today I mostly... Tore out my front diff off road, 2 broken bolt holes in the case. Now tied up with a belt from my uniform, and the prop shaft rides shotgun.

Well about a month ago the hard drive for my laptop died, so I have been computer-less since then, and I reckon I've can do about 3 or 4 posts before they block the site at work(!) so I thought I would wait until I had something important to say, therefore my really important question to all of you out there in Ladaland is: In the first episode (and some subsequent episodes) of VR troopers (We are, VR!) what is the car they are driving? I thought it looked a lot like a Samara but without computer I can't really make a comparison.

speaking of cars in movies/shows, in the newest installment of the fast and the furious, look at the patrol car stuck in the wall of the building and the 2 or three in the station parking lot. theyre nivas

How do you find it?, i have read it is not as good as windoze 7.
I find it pretty good actually. I bought a new laptop that came with Windows 8, so I got a free update to 8.1
It may take a little while to get used to no start menu, but afterwards it's allright. At this point I prefer it over Win7.

Today I mostly...

Changed the oil and filter in the 107.

What is this new devilry? Sump plugs which actually come out easily...oil filters that come off without a fight...oil fillers that I can get at without dumping half the bottle down the back of the engine...

21 minutes start to finish, and at least 5 of that was me trying to find a 14mm socket (which of course turned out to be in my jacket pocket).

Goodness synthetic oil is expensive though...Never had to do an oil change on a car which specifies it before...Pricey stuff!

Today I mostly...Got rained on!

Discovered that the van is running like a sack of spanners again because it's managed to fill its carb up with gunk yet again. Will see about cleaning that again next weekend. 306's battery was discovered to be flat when I went to start it, so that was stuck on charge. Never got as far as putting it back in the car as I decided I was already wet enough by that point!

This evening I mostly resurrected an old Mac SE which was displaying symptoms of a dead or dying hard disc. Problem was pretty quickly tracked down to be nothing more than a duff power connector to the drive, and tightening the contacts up a little bit restored normal operation.

Did a run to the scrap man and weighed in some removed household radiators, old trolley jack, pc case and a few other bits.
Wend to Land Rover dealer to get a new Clutch Master cylinder.
Lifted the floor boards and removed some lighting power cables that are no longer needed.
Filled in the holes in the walls left by the wall lights ready for tomorrows decorating session.

And count down has begun for the Wales Rally GB. Out doing three recce stages and one main stage over 3 days.
Regards.
