Today I mostly .....
Better than 40 mpg, Daniel, assuming in 4th & at 56 mph IF fully laden !! oooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 40 mpg at higher speed if NOT fully laden.
Say 60 to 70 mph crusing, on M-ways for instance. DAAZ standard Ozone Carby WITH economiser working ok, gives this possibility; I think it revs quickly, 'cos it's a rubber-belt 1300cc Engine (no heavy metal timing chain to whizz round ....)
Set the std DAAZ carby on a gas-tester at a MOT station, to (Book says "0,5-1.2% CO") thats petrol-mixture (quite weak, on those 1300cc 2105 engines) .... or, set it even weaker (yes they will take weaker okay, to a lambda setting of '1' at the tailpipe, weakening the rh screw inwards to weaken it, then adjusting a 850-900 rpm idle speed with the lh screw, the one that the rubber pipe goes into, thats the "Idle Speed Screw on those 'Ozone Carbs with "Forced-Idle-Economiser" with the little microswitch that switches the Idle jet-circuit off, when the foot is taken off the accellerator pedal.
I can give you factory setting (bendy-bits) post-assembly settings, after a rebuild for instance, for that carby if you want.
Plus it DOES need the ''forced-idle-Economiser'' (pnuematic valve etc) to be working properly, to get THAT economy; but you ALSO get better engine-braking, because NO fuel at all is going through the Carby, until the ''lil black box'' restarts the engine, just before it stalls coming to a Braked standstill. Excellent lil boogers they are. My only gripe is, MY 1500 thingies are CHAIN driven grrrrrrrrrrr ........... so I can't/mustnt accelerate quickly or it stretchy my timing chain into oblivion-and-renewness !!
Good Luck with it, anyway !!!

Fixed the outside light, the PIR had drowned in 10mm of water
Gave the decking a 2nd coat of oil prior to winter
Picked up 30kg of Guinea food. 15kg for our 2 and 15kg for a mates pair
and now sitting watching Masterchef

Just a few days, most of which was waiting for the block and head to be cleaned and machined. Disassembly took a few hours, and assembly less than a day (including new rad and wheel bearings.) Cylinders overbored and larger pistons installed.
Still need to do the transmission. Otherwise it's a lot quieter now, and much more power (especially torque).
It was rebuilt due to spewing massive amounts of smoke upon heavy load (like going up steep hills), and it just didn't feel or sound right. The pistons and rings were burned and coated with thick carbon due to poor fuel, and the head was warped.
Parts were cheap so I had everything replaced -- it's basically a new engine!

Because you can't sell product if things work too well.GadgetBoy wrote:I like 2K3. It just works. Did a 2K8 last week. I hate 2K8!!!!!!
Why do Microsoft take stuff that works perfectly and buggér about with it?
Just like there is nothing more profitable than convincing everybody they need the latest and greatest thing even though their old one still works fine.
"NEW and IMPROVED". Which is the greatest line in advertising . I've picked up at various household goods plants over the years and when i've asked them what it means if i see it on the boxes it's usually mentioned that it's new and improved "packaging".
Have a nice week guys and girls. Taking a hiatus for a bit. Going out to Calgary.
