I've owned 2 of them and they're great cars! Mine we the same colour, too. There's nothing quite like a British Mini when it comes to getting around towns quickly; they nip about superbly, can be parked on a sixpence and are very economical. On the downside you are driving a car designed in the 1950s and that shows at times; 4 gears (although better ratios with the last ones) little in the way of crumple zones and active safely features and the accommodation's quite cramped. In spite of everything I loved them both! I sold them at a profit and in the second case, a "W" reg, with the higher ratio gearbox, immediately regretted it. Hey, that's life! Every Mini driver waves and flashes their lights when they pass another one, so the camaraderie amongst is great.
Happy memories!
