92 Yota HiLux, 2.4 TD.
New thermostat.
Filled the system using a small guage tube from an elevated bottle and a syphon method, so as to allow a slow fill and any air to escape (hope that all made sense, my grammer is not the best ).
Now a couple minutes after start up the fliud level rises and overflows, not falls..
Is this trapped air in the system causing the level to rise so quickly, there's a tickler on the stat i assume to allow trapped air through..
My old Renault 25's never did this but a Rover 25 after about 15 minutes would boil like a kettle and overflow the expansion tank with the cap off but i ended up refitting the cap and was fine after that.
Filler neck is on the stat housing not rad as in Lada but still has a seperate expansion tank.
Thanks in advance for any help!
