Im posting this for a mate of mine.

He has recently bought a nissan terrano2 2.7tdi swb.Problem being it wont engage fourwheel drive at the front wheels it has automatic hubs. When you select fourwheel hi;lo on the transfer box everything seems to be working that end.Anybody able to shed some light on it.

Lack of use? Is the linkage working?
I think I have a PDF manual for that engine if that's any help?
Regards.

Hi guys

Thanks for the info.bit of an update took the terrano out and used four low and drive it like that and now the hubs are engaging. However when it goes back in two high there seems to be a grinding type of noise from the front end.He reversed back a few meters when it was taken out of four low however when he doesnt reverse back after using four low there is no grinding noise.

PS simon what sort of a job would it be to do a winch bumper on a terrano..
