Holymoorside Chesterfield NNOC

Hi Guys and Gals
We are at Chesterfield on the 21st and 22nd April if any one is interested in this event could you please let me know as it is only a small site and I have had some interest so need to know numbers - camping is available but very basic so you will need to bring water with you(or beer works well too

)

Hi, I was hoping to pop over for a nosey and show my little lad a Niva (he's got loads on his bedroom wall, and loads of toy nivas I got from russia ebay but he's never seen one moving in real life!), what times are people likely to be there sat and sunday. many thanks Stu.

We will be there all day saturday and start packing up to go home about 3pm on sunday if you come into the field and to the brown folding camper we will get some one to show you around

do you guys still use cb on site? (just found my old rig and a mag mount with an inch of dust on it) if so what channel do you use. thanks.

Many thanks for the warm welcome today - the last NNOC event (I think)I had been to was at this site in early 1997 just before I sold my Niva, the day Ray Ellis 'parked' his Niva on its side. It was a fairly new site to us then being only recently sourced by Ray & Carrol. So it was a bit of a trip down memory lane for me but was the first time my son had seen a real niva moving under its own steam in the flesh. So for him to have the opportunatety to be taken for a ride was just superb. As soon as he saw the Nivas he was very excited before he had even got out of our car. At first he was frightened getting into the Niva (he is only 3) but before we had got from the field onto the track he was saying 'go go go'. Simon kindly offered the ride (which Fred described as 'bumpy') and we were followed by the other Simon in his orange Niva. I wont say who got stuck first but we had to stop and reverse to help. I imagine that winch gets alot of use

Including the Nivas we brought Freddie counted 8 Nivas all in the same field! If I have more luck with the bank balance and eBay perhaps another time we will come in our own Niva. A few times now I have been outbid by the winning bidder.
