hi, as a former nnoc member 15ish years ago and someone who has started watching lada web traffic again (viewed one niva and outbid on ebay on another so far this year) the name nnoc is quite a blast from the past - my little boy loves watching a home video we have green laning in the peak district and playing on a site near sheffield ski slope ( taken if I remember right by barry in his white niva - ray and carol in their red niva etc etc). I used to get club magazines etc - do I take it even the website is long gone? cheers Stu (used to have a metalic blue a-reg niva 95-97)

ok cheers for that - will try for the chesterfield one if able as only the other side of peak district for me. Sad to think some of the great people from 15-20 years ago might not be around anymore - I can remember when Barry first turned up on the scene as suddenly someone came in a brand new niva and went where the rest of us did in our old beasts. I also remember that not only was it new, the first of the new shape I had seen but it also had cruise control fitted!! Very posh. I think at bewdley he managed to get further round the pole course than alot of us (myself included) on standard tyres which caused alot of talk about the difference in low grunt of the new 1700 engine. It was a very friendly time then with lots of nivas and one -up-man-ship on display. I was only in my late teens but still changed about everything going on my niva from riva high back seats, a boddingtons badge on the grill to the usual scafold pole bumpers, cbs etc etc. Happy days.
Showed my son the red niva for sale that has just been reduced to £450 a few weeks ago when he wanted more for it and hope in time to run him round in his dads own niva- time will tell.
All the best.
stu.

I'll say it very quietly Mk2 Shogun........
