Lada Niva look-a-like?

Post by GvidoR » Thu Sep 15, 2011 10:02 pm

I'm doing research at the moment, so I was wondering if there is any car that looks more like Lada Niva than Mitsubishi Pajero (Junior)

Yes, it seems like Niva has a unique design, therefore it is difficult to find another car that looks similar.

What do you mean by "Niva is offended"?

Agree with you, a unique design indeed! That is why I love them - basic and to the point I guess you could say!! When I said the niva would be offended, I was talking about it being compare with a BLING Mitsubishi Pajero....LOL. But I see your point.

The shape of the Niva really is quite unique...which is odd given that if you ask a five year old to draw a car side on, it'll generally look like a Niva!

The Suzuki SJ series does have a *slightly* similar profile from the front I suppose...

As above the Pajero looks nothing like a a Niva other that the very basic outline of a 4x4.

The Niva is pretty unique looking (probably because it is unibody as well as being Eastern), and the closest thing to a Niva's styling is a Range Rover

And even that's tenuous as the shared styling is little more than '70s swarge lines and fold-over bonnet.

The Pajero Junior (Shogun Pinin) is the same size as the Niva with an engine that varies from 1.8 to 2.0 lt. They're roughly the same shape and better built! I rather like them (without all that bling!)

I think the Pinin is a Pajero iO (the Pajero Junior is smaller again with has a 1 litre motor and is based on Mitsi's kei car).
