Yes i did. The powerline units were misbehaving. Thd problem was a bad earth in the front room.

Hoeever when i plug on the uniit in the office it almost stops the internet working on the two main hardwired pcs.

Not sure why....

Something on the hardwired PCs sending out rubbish? Maybe worth plugging in both in and then unplugging one at a time?

Dont think so. The lights on the powerline unit seem to be very active though and as soon as i unplug it normal service is resumed.

Its the same unit ive used before with no issues.

Best advice I can give there is to bin the powerline stuff and get a real network set up.

...not least because of the absolutely horrific amount of RF interference they chuck out. Googling that issue will get hundreds of hits. Any ham radio or anyone with an am radio within about 1/4 a mile of you will thank you.

Of course if you're in the middle of nowhere, that's less of an issue!

Which, if i remember correctly, is exactly why i got them in the first place. Sir Gadget said thems was the dogs.....

And yes, i am in the middle of nowhere!

And the network does not broadcast the SSID......

can't you tell it to on http:///192.168.1.1 ?
Here in France all the router/adsl boxes/etc have internal pages you can access, and then you tell it to broadcast the SSID!
ah no, i've deliberately set it not to broadcast its name. So to find it you need to know what its called.

De-badged, plastidipped VW logo and restored black trim. Looks good, I think.

It is, yeah. I got a pretty good deal on it and it's a huge improvement over the Mitsubishi Colt that I had. The MOT just ran out, but it was passed less than a year ago so I hope it'll be allright.

When I did the same to the headlights on the Cappuccino I just used T-Cut. Autoglym colour restorer would probably be a bit better as it is slightly more aggressive and tends to smear less.

I used wet 600, 1200 and 2000 grit sandpaper and then waxed them.

Today I mostly...

Drove to Bath and picked up these two Sinclair C5s. Starting the recommissioning of these will probably be my project for later in the week.

You can it turns out fit two of them in the back of a Saab 900, though you can't quite get the boot all the way closed.

Restore and use em. We live in a city of wall to wall off street cycleways so this is ideal C5 territory.

Upgrade to 24V lithium polymer power will probably be high on the agenda too. Sounds like a 30mph top speed is on the cards then...

Yes...the Sinclair C5 is pretty much the definition of odd. Fantastic I say, just Sir Clive Sinclair tried to launch it 30 years too early.
