Looks pretty good there.

The wheels on my Skoda are matt black but in need of a repaint. Would it work for that do you think? Nice smooth finish like that is exactly what I am after.

This evening continuted procrastinating. The question: do I buy a Rolls-Royce. Common sense is currently losing.

Aside from anything else...a Shadow parked next to my Skoda 120LX on the drive will confuse our neighbours so nicely.

Well I'm doing hardly any miles these days, and there are two modern cars in the household plus the Skoda. Saab as it is aspires to 23mpg in fuel terms anyway!

It's been a silly idea of mine for many a year...just actually seems almost doable right now. Don't think Shadows will ever be any cheaper after all.

Do it! That is an absolutely gorgeous car. If I had the money I would have bought it by now...

I just hate it when the voices in the back of my mind go quiet...When everything's quiet I never know what they're up to!

Thanks.

Plasti dip is used for wheels too. All colours they have come out matt because it has kind of a rubbery texture after it dries, because all it is really is a liquid wrap. If you want them glossy, you can get a "Plasti dip glossifier" and spray it on after you're done to get that glossy finish.

Sounds ideal to be honest. Think a low-gloss/satin finish will work best, similar to what's on there already.

Only problem just now is that they've been brush painted (not all that well), and as there have been new tyres on, there are now gaps where the balance weights used to be! So it looks rather scruffy.

Will need to keep that in mind once I get that far down the to-do list with the car - oh, and it's actually in the same end of the country as I am!

Started the 2102 yesterday for the first time in over two months. I primed the fuel pump first and it started first turn of the key. It was due an MOT today which is why I brought it out of hibernation. They failed it on the back lights showing too much white (stop and position). The lenses have faded and are no longer red enough. I raced up to Halfords to purchase two red light bulbs. Grabbed them off the shelf, ran to the till to pay and had the shock of my life when it was £21. Yes, that is correct, £21 for two light bulbs!

Anyway, back to the garage tomorrow for a free re-test.

Just tried to upload some pictures using ImageShack and discovered you now have to have a premium account to do so.

Anyway, received my new roof rack today for the 2102.
