Downloaded a bunch of 3D software for free from Daz 3D who have a might attractive looking promotion on just now. About £600 worth of software available for free.

Still playing around with Sculptris which I got hold of a while ago as well...in addition to the good old pencil of course. Too many things to play around with, too little creativity and too little time!

Planned a 4pm dart from work to get the starter motor back in the Landy.
14:30 Server goes pop - blown PSU, discover no hardware support for the server.:-(
Scrabble round, find another server of the same model but different generation. Same PSU fitting but wrong side of the system board...Server backup and running by having it hanging out the rack supported by a server lifting machine and the PSU placed in the space of the old one...

16:00..VM Ware cluster goes TU.... and servers start failing over....Not helped by the SAN guys extending disc partitions, causing excessive load on the SAN.....

17:20 finally ready to go home.

Get home 17:40, and proceed to get starter motor fitted while holding the torch in my mouth.
Two out of the 3 bolts back in and the wiring done. Finish off the fiddly bolt tomorrow.
Regards.

Managed to leave work at 16:20 to get on with the Landy. Starter motor bolts back in, wires back on and battery reconnected....and brum she starts! Early impressions, she starts quicker...Will see what its like tomorrow morning.

Im 21 years old and I feel like 60 years old.

Today I mostly thought about myself. And found out nothing smart. The more you think, the worse it is, if you ask me..

My main problem is that i've become isolated. I don't go out anymore. I am mostly alone and go to places, where I am even more alone. And the worst thing is, i actually feel ok. But then when at one moment it hits you.. And i've come to conclusion.. Happiness is only real when shared...

This evening I mostly...Performed a bit of a chronological cut-and-shut.

I've had a Sony TFM-C580E clock radio which had been shunted into retirement due to a noisy reduction gearbox making it too noisy for bedroom use and a couple of damaged digits.

A few days ago I managed to pick up a rougher looking example off eBay, which does at least appear to be running silently so far. This evening the clean case from my previous one was transplanted onto the chassis of the eBay example.

Result is shown below.

This isn't where it will live - it's just a corner I could stick it out of the way while it's on soak test...

Finished work for a week off

Car played up again last night. 2hrs trying to get the ****** going, In the end I did by putting a jump lead from the battery to the solenoid wire connector.
