Last time I used a TIG welder I slipped with the filler rod, and went through my overalls and jeans and burnt myself!

No idea yet, the wheels of Justice grind slow.
Same the world over, I'm afraid. Fingers crossed!

Spent most of the day wandering around a nature reserve in 30+ degree weather at 95% humidity at the wedding of a sister of a friend.

Not a bad day actually, but very, very warm! Now waiting for the shower to be free so I can go and wash several millimetres of accumulated salt off!

Today...I went to a boat jumble and the North Wales Boat show.

At the boat jumble I was on the hunt for:

Outboard engine
Stainless fittings
Oars

I came away with

Two 6ft boat rods with multiplier reels for £40 for the pair - result :D

1 x stainless bolt with nylock nut
2 x stainless anti-luces (sp)

1 x Navman Fish 400 fish finder(made in New Zealand) - £1....working state unknown, no cables

I didn't have £115 to buy a Seagull Forty plus.

Then we went to the NW Boat show....mmm... Disappointed in the lack stands.
Came away with some deck cleats and some other stainless fittings

So...When I got home I took the fishfinder apart and made a note of the pins. Applied 12v and it powered up but the screen was'nt working 100%, and this resulted in sections of letters etc missing, almost like someone had taken a rubber to the text and removed parts.

Re-opened the fish finder and cleaned up the contacts for screen with some cleaner. Re-aligned the screen and screwed it all back together and hey presto the screen is 100% working - result :D

All I need now is the cable and transducer.
Regards.

Scotchlock connectors are always good for a laugh.

...I've got a VW Transporter which appears to be full of them - so no doubt I'll have all manner of fun figuring out the gremlins hidden in there.

...Especially as someone seems to have retrofitted electronic ignition in the past - though that actually seems to be working perfectly so far.

Indicators, fuel gauge (well, it is the only electronic instrument!) and interior lights are another matter...

Ahhh a printer. HP/Epson/TekTronix Phaser with the wax cartridges?

Anyways, the box looks bigger, as you say probably due to nothing else in frame of a similar size. Are those ally corner pieces?

The stuff used to make the frame looks like Airfix type kit and looks to be very useful. Im sure I can come up with many uses!
