Twin cam diesel ? Same bottom end as a Tipo 1.9td engine so I am led to believe.
Regards.

Have you solved WHY the timing belt slipped off? Do you had timing belt cover in place?
And do you have right pulley orientation, because they vary depending which TC is it.
Mixing wrong pulleys has produced numerous problems, eg. belt rubbing front shaft seal cover.

I've personally never ever heard that kind of issue with Fiat Twin Cam engine. Very unusual. Timing belt system in Fiat Twin Cam is tradional and very robust.

You've not put 1" belt on 3/4" pulleys have you?.........

Can I assist with valve train parts? Valves, Springs, Collets, Buckets etc.

[quote="SimonAllen"]the belt has come off due to the tensioner bearing failing. Neglect on my part..

Neil, What parts can you get for this engine? it was tired anyway, and due a rebuild. sounds like one bent valve to me, although I'm probably wrong.

Valves I have a pile of.....

Tensioner wheels are a bit expensive I think I paid about £40 for a unit a couple of years back.

These motors get a move on when running OK. 100mph + (on speedo), probably about 46 in reality.

The design and implementation of the inlet tracts is truly woeful in terms of airflow management and rough as .... in actual manufacture. If Honda had done the inlet system correctly they would be great engines. You should read what Guy Croft thinks of them.

guy croft..hahahaha...no bias there then  but yes, youre right hondas are 'not necessarily' as good as everyone gives them credit for, same as the VW stable...good as long as they go, but woeful when they go bang, expensive and more holes in the warranty than swiss cheese, and underneath those seemingly well screwed together bits are jagged staples, terrible stitching, bodged plastics on trims and rough surfaces on internal metalwork....
a bit like the 'new' eurofighter (i saw it being tested in warton way back in 1984) a honda wouldnt 'go' if it wasnt for the electronics!!!!
