Remember, when fitting a wedge lift (or similar design) at the front, the presumption is that the anti-roll bar MUST be removed. This is because of the possibility of the trackrod end becoming stuck on the anitroll bar at its' mounting on the suspension arm. Not very good to get stuck on full lock!87ladaniva wrote:bought the steel for my front wedge lift kit

My ARb was still present, so a quick session with the angle grinder and removed the lip of the lower suspension plateHoodoo wrote:Remember, when fitting a wedge lift (or similar design) at the front, the presumption is that the anti-roll bar MUST be removed. Tonight I finally finished all the tile grouting
Had a delivery of the postman, my new (to me) dual band radio but minus the cable that links the head to the body of the radio
Seller is sorting that for me.
Fingers crossed got my name on the list to do recovery on the rally at the weekend.

Maybe a split turbo hose?TheRealNivaman wrote:Today i mostly....
Discovered a turbo whine like noise coming from the engine room.
Rev the engine and the noise sounds exactly like a turbo whistle, sounds cool and all but i need to find the cause.
Although i am hoping to get the Peugeot on the road next week i would like to fix this problem.

Went the rally today as a Trainee Recovery Operator. Recovered 3 cars off stage with just a strairght tow and removed one towing eye from the front of a Peugot 309. Factory welded tow point gave way just as i was about to take up the slack and ping....it flew off and under the Landy.
Fourth and last recovery was a LWB Iveco service barge, complete with tools & spares etc and the trailer and rally car on the rear. It needed a tow through the muddy/boggy grass and up a grass bank. 3rd gear, low box and diff lock.
