More dodgy mods on other car forums

This isn't as good as that legendary mitsibushi thread, or the Scary steering website.

But i was mooching around the VW type 3 forum and spotted this handy work. Scroll to the pictures near the bottom of the post.

An accident waiting to happen if ever there was one!! Apart from the (sh1t) quality of the welding, the metal is far too thin to support the stresses and strains imposed during driving conditions.
This guy is a liability. He's driving it like that. The bolt through the rear mount looks loose as well. And he wonders why it knocks. Imagine this guys: you're out at the weekend in your car with the family, enjoying the countryside when this clown rounds the bend in front of you at speed, the mounts snap, he loses control and wipes out your kids.......
Hope it fails the MOT and is considered too dangerous to leave the testing station.

Rant over.

Scary! It should be a law that in order to purchase a tool you have to prove you know how to use it properly.

Meh, rusty type 3 vs Niva. I'll choose being in the Niva thanks. :)

But yes, peeps on that forum should be telling him why he shouldn't drive on the road. Even to it's MOT test.

Goodness...that makes even MY welding look good...and that takes a lot.

One might want to suggest that they learn what the controls on their welder are for...and that you should clean the metal up before hand...

On second thoughts, why don't we just go get them to weld to the petrol tank, that'd solve the problem.

...I'd feel sorry for the car though.

...Think it looks rather stupid that low to be honest in my humble opinion...looked much better before it was messed with. Though everyone's entitled to their own opinion on that I guess!
