I have decided to sell my 1993 Lada 1500 estate. I have had it for three years and it's a good well cared for example. It had 3,000 miles from new when purchased with only one previous owner. The mileage now is just over 5,000.

It has four new tyres, and a brand new starter motor supplied by Alan. It has been serviced twice within the last 2,000 miles. The oil is so clean you can hardly see it on the dipstick.

The only reason I wish to sell is I only have one garage, and after having the 2106 restored I want the garage for that.

The car has tax until the end of August, and has MOT until the end of June.

Although the bodywork is very clean for a seventeen year old car, there is the odd mark here and there. The worst being the very base of the front valance there is surface rust. Nothing too serious and not even visible unless you purposely look for it. There is a photo of it.

Mechanically the car is like new. It runs as it should with no rattles, knocks or smoke however, on a journey the check engine light sometimes comes on. It has done this for the entire three years I have owned it. It does not effect the running of the vehicle - it continues to run perfectly - so I have left it alone. It has passed every MOT without requiring any work. The last MOT tester remarked it was like inspecting a new car.

Anyone seriously interested is welcome to come and view the car, which is realistically priced at £750.

Well Steve, thats a very very clean motor that you got there. You were also very lucky to come across the 2101.I knew that old woman would eventually sell it to you.I myself am on the lookout for a clean 2101 or a 1600slx.I wish you the best of luck with the sale and i hope the car goes to a person who will cherish it.Eugene

Thanks Eugene. I hope someone on here buys it. I want it to go to someone who appreciates it, understands it and looks after it.

I am trying to avoid listing it on Ebay as it could fall into the hands of someone looking for a cheap runabout and end up being neglected. Which would be a shame.

You cruel man...That's *exactly* the car I'd love...even the right colour.

Unfortunately I'm currently trying to get rid of a Rapid...Which is proving harder than expected, and am in the middle of two other projects...and have no money...so have to pass. Really hope you find a good home for it...That looks to be a fantastic car.

Fantastic car! A shame it's a RHD, I would like it very much if it was a LHD..

Car has now sold and has gone to an enthusiast. He used to own this one:

He regrets selling it. He also has a Samara and an early (1975) 1200 estate. Glad it's gone to a good home.
