Lada Niva For Sale

Post by SteveTelford » Sun Aug 16, 2009 4:28 pm

OK....

I bought this lada http://www.planetearth.me.uk/ last year - took it forresting once and then the gearbox and/or clutch packed in on me - its sat on my drive ever since (6mths) waiting for me to have time (hah!) - I have got as far as purchasing a reconned gearbox and also new clutch...

Its SORN and also MOT has run out in Jan 09 - body is pretty darn good considering its age and imo one of the nicer Lada colours......

If you know what you are doing its old gearbox and clutch out and new ones in and bobs your uncle......

Any takers ? (no insults please - realistic price for a sound body - equally if you want to make me an offer to repair (it will need flat bedding to repair though)

Number is 07825 271307 if you have any questions...
Cheers
Steve

I've been out of the UK too long to understand what year a car is from its number plates. :(

Could you tell me the year of manufacture, mileage etc.?

Apart from that, she looks clean and standard.

And, I wouldn't want to teach my Granny to suck eggs, but that rust at the back - have you checked the 'bungs' in the well from the inside, you've probably been collecting water in there from somewhere. We don't often get our hands in those deep recesses either side when the panels are on, but mine are off at present and was full of cement dust and dog hairs, but no water ingress as yet, but worth keeping a check on and perhaps greasing up or treating with something or other.

looks like I have a mechanic - car is being picked up at the weekend to have new clutch and gearbox fitted.....will then get it MOTd and decide what to do...

will check on the bungs - having seen the perfect condition white/cream one on ebay recently - almost inclined to keep it and get the rust sorted and back to mint...... (not that I would think it was worth that much mind)
Cheers

Hi Steve
I`m seriously looking for a decent Niva and as they are few and far between, I`d appreciate it if you would keep me informed as to the position with yours once the work has been done.
On here or via a PM is fine.
Cheers.

Hi Steve

I too am interested but chicovski929 got in there first... so it's only fair that he gets first shot ... when the time comes if chicovski929's circumstances have changed and he doesn''t want to buy it then I wouldnt mind second dibs on it.

I'm just down the road from you in Wolverhampton.

Cheers Adam

PS chicovski929 if you buy her can I have her once youve finished with her - she's a cracking Niva

Have defected to the Darkside I`m afraid and got myself a Defender 90.
Its all tricked up ready for offroading, so should have some fun in it. Got two mates with the same so it made sense for shared knowledge, parts etc.
Just hope there is a Niva nearby if I ever get stuck!!

Should you ever decide to sell the Niva Steve, then A Lewis now succeeds me for 1st dibs.
