As older models of the Niva, in pristine condition, become scarcer - so their price will appreciate. This particular car - nearly 20 years old - appears to be in excellent condition. I believe the asking price is not unreasonable. There is a burgundy coloured later model Niva, currently on the market here in Sydney, for $8995. I`ve sighted the car, and it is absolutely immaculate. The asking price appears to be steep, but the car is probably better value than a Japanese or Korean equivalent 4X4, in similar condition, and priced at $15,000 - $20,000.

Think that one he's sellin is a bit overpriced for the km's although the immaculate condition (I got my ute from him too, for more than half that with 88k on the clock).

The one in the UK Is well worth the asking price. :)

It's 17 years old..... this is a wet and damp country, there's no dealer backup here apart from Alan (praise be to him) and they just do not change hands for that sort of money over here.

Feel free to pop over and buy it though if you think it's a steal.

May as well have this one whilst you're here.....
