Many thanks for this info. 'Safety Devices' certainly rings a bell... I really wish I had kept a copy of the information supplied by the previous owner, as he listed all sorts of things that have since leaked from my memory.

I hope you don't mind, but I've added a note on the subject to the listing.

I've just got back from the inaugural 'Retro Rides' show at Mallory Park. There was a shocking lack of anything East European. It's given me fresh enthusiasm to get my poor 2101 back on the road (with a tastefully fitted Fiat twin-cam, naturally).

The tyres and rollcage alone (both in pristine condition) would set you back more than a grand. I admit that the market is a tad specialist.

Who said anything about welding and competitive offroading???? All I was stating was that your vehicle is not my cup of tea and therefore no way would i contemplate spending that sort of money on it. Has it sold yet????

Hi all,

Well... it has sold for £800 and will be collected today. It's a shame to see it go.

Actually, I own two Tatras. The 603 is undergoing very extensive restoration (this is responsible for the sale of the Niva) and the 613 is standing in to appease my Tatra urges until its ready. The latter has a 3.5-litre quad-cam rear-mounted air-cooled V8... words cannot describe how good this is at 6000rpm!
