That's a clean one - late for a Riva too on a P plate...N is the latest that I remember seeing with any regularity.
Probably a two grand motor at a minimum if it's as good as it looks in the photos - if two folks both want it the price could well go mental.
Just hope that it goes to someone who will appreciate it rather than someone who's going to lower it, rip out the interior and stick some ridiculous engine in to go drifting with...

That is some car! I was seriously "on the hunt" for a Lada a year or so ago, but eventually settled for a Daf 33-quirky but not really a long distance cruiser, which I suspect this "P" reg 1500 Lada would be! It ticks every box!

The only downside with them as a long distance cruiser really is that the gearing is a bit low, so noise levels do start to grate a bit after a few hours on the motorway I find. In every other aspect though, they are indeed an astonishingly effective means to dispatching surprisingly large distances for the age of the design.

You've never spent several hours in an air-cooled Daf at high speed; believe me, that's "hard core" motoring! Very true!
Never been in a DAF at all actually that I can remember...
Only variomatic car I think I've ever driven was a Volvo 340 - though I'm now restoring a car with such a drive, so will be learning the joys in due course!
