This is getting addictive. I want this car, but I have 5 already....never seen one in that colour. What price do we think it will go for.

I think with a starting price of £1,000 it could put people off. Had he started it at £500 I imagine it would go higher from there. The bodywork looks good but no mention of an MOT. I reckon (just my opinion) it's worth about £750.

It's nowhere near as tidy as the ad claims. No mention of MOT or if it's been SORNed - the DVLA can get randomly snippy about non-SORNed barn finds. £500-£750.
Cool colour though.

Gadget,
What do you know of the car!! It looks tidy from the pics, what makes you say not as good as ad suggest?

Boot not sitting right.
Filler flap twisted.
Seat vinyl in poor condition. Numerous defects.
Carpets stained/muddy.
Boot lining untidy.
Evidence of rust on nearside rear chassis leg.
Evidence of rust on rocker cover, air filter, bonnet hinges, offside inner front wing, nearside inner front wing, nearside slam panel.
Wheels in poor condition.
To be expected in a 25 year old car but if you're going to ask a £1000 starting price valet the thing first.

Got you. Not been stored too well then. I'm not too sure on the colour...lets see if it sells.

The car seems in one photo to be parked outside a breakers yard.I see a lot of tyres in the background.I wonder was it bought to be broken and the breaker had a change of heart and hence the starting price of 1000Uk Stg!!!!.It's not worth a 1000.300 would be a reasonable starting price and if it made 500 great.I cannot see anyone stupid to bid more that a grand for it.Just my view.Eugene

Well, I just "googled" the phone number in the ad, and came up with this:
They are traders advertising to buy cars for cash. I still like the car. It's an early Riva and an unusual colour. Was only used for about 5 years before being placed into storage. Agree with you on price, it's not worth £1000. But it's somewhere between £500-£750. It's not a car I would bid on without seeing it first.
I notice they say, cars
BROUGHT for cash!
