the black Volga just listed on E-bay

Post by rrshadow2 » Sat Sep 03, 2011 9:09 pm

Wondering if anyone knows the story on the Black Volga just listed on E-bay doesn't give much information and whether it's UK registered or if it comes with original Russian paperwork in which case I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole! But if the car is Ligitimate, I'd sure love to have a chance at owning it!

Got a watch on it myself. I am a bit dubious given the lack of info, but would love it.

I wouldn't trust any E-bay listing that doesn't give a phone number to contact the seller OR give the bidder an option to come view the car before bidding, whether the bidder actually chooses to do this or not, the option should be there

Finally got a response from the lister of the Black Volga, it's better information but still doesn't make me want to jump and Bid on it:

hi, there, this car is 23 years old, there isn't any damages on it,all car and all parts are the original ones, there isn't any rust on it, it starts and drive very well, the car has all documents to be registered here, if you worry about the registration i can sort this for you, the car is on her way, i expect it to be here afer 10 days, because of that i don't want any deposit, the winner can come to see the car when it arrive and if he doesn't like it he can leave it.

mmm, sounds like someone jumping on the band wagon but then again if it only made say £1000 pound then i can't see much profit? There's also the fact your bidding on something that is not even in the country yet either! Nice piece of kit though :P

Wish I had a follow up on the Black Volga, did it finally make it to the UK, did someone actually Buy it as the winning bidder or was it just a bunch of Smoke and Mirrors? I'm looking for a Volga M24 and One that's actually IN the UK with paperwork even if it's from Botswana or wherever I'd be interested, I just stayed clear of that particular car for obvious reasons, Like bidding a thousand pounds to get to go look at a car that isn't even there, it all seemed way too fishy
