Julian this would be a great car for you. York to Kidderminster 158 miles. Jump on a train and drive it back. One day trip and £1,500 gets you a real classic in remarkably good condition. A 1600 model in similar condition sold on Ebay a while back (the orange one for those that remember it) and made £2,800. An opportunity to buy the early cars, especially in this condition comes along rarely.
Give it some serious thought - it'll complete your collection

Mm so tempting!! In your opinion any areas of concern...assume steering box is an easish fix.

No serious areas of concern. New mot no advisories. Engine ran sweetly. Temperature gauge where it should be. No sludge under the oil filler cap. No rattling timing chain. One owner car really and looked after. Still has the starting handle!
I spent years looking for a pre-Riva model and when one turned up I had to have new front wings and valance plus a respray.
I have the sellers 'phone number if you want it? He did say he would remove from Ebay if he was offered what he wanted (£1,500).

That looks gorgeous, really hope that it went to a good home with someone who will look after it and keep it in this country.
Much as I would have loved to put a bid in, I lack the time that the car really deserves, space and the money that would have been needed!
