Lada Niva 2005 Central Scotland

Post by CCCP-1985 » Mon Nov 25, 2013 7:44 pm

Hi there folks!

Selling my 2005 Lada Niva Left Hand Drive.

Mot till April 2014, on Sorn though.

Imported new in 2005 to a plantation in Pitlochry, Fife, Scotland.

Couple rusty bits but nothing major and no rust at all on the sold or floor pan etc.

Nice nippy 1.7 Bosch fuel injected engine.

Bad bits are gearbox a bit noisy and exhaust manifold leaking slightly.

Just had all oils, filters and fluids changed. Last owner did the clutch and brakes.

Looking for £850 which is what I paid but open to reasonable offers.

Would rather is went to an enthusiast, my old 2102 went to a good home and I still keep in touch with the new owner.

Located, Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland.

hi how bad is the gearbox noise? will it need fixing? as i would be looking at around 600 miles journey in it to get back home. I also have friends down in the scottish borders where i am originally from, who are aslo interested.

My wife is going to help me up load pictures later hopefully!

The chap I bought it from said the previous owner said it was like that new, noise goes away when clutch depressed. He changed the clutch etc, drove the car several thousand miles ( all motorway between Edinburgh and North Fife ) and the noise never got louder. He, as well as myself, have changed the gearbox oil about a dozen times in the last year and never any sign of metal in the oil. To be honest, the guy I bought it from made a big thing of it, I think he was worried it would just give up the minute I took ownership of her, it just sounds like a noisey commercial gearbox..

My wife is at me to shift items I'm not using and it's a waste just to have it sitting in the drive.
