1.3 1990 Riva needs a new home...

Post by flaminlada » Fri Apr 13, 2012 6:44 pm

Hey Guys,

I hate to have to do this but I've had to downgrade to normality, the victim is my Riva.

* 1990 1.3 Lada Riva
* 48780 genuine miles from new
* New stereo & speakers (not big brand)
* No tax/MOT though
* Starts & runs fine
* Solid, some surface rust (see pics)

The car in question

The quarter lights have been mended, see photos below...

Rust - usual place! Passenger side

Rust 2 - Drivers side, just bubbles

Interior is basic black cloth (as you can probably tell!) All seats are VGC apart from the front passenger seat

Since these main car photos were taken I've 'lost' the drivers side wing mirror. Don't you just love people who damage your car then drive off?

I do have the door panels, they just need fixing back on. The car is currently SORN so will need towing/trailering but he does start.

I'm in North Lincolnshire & you're more than welcome to come and look at an arranged time. My number is 07707792385.

I'm asking £200 OVNO.

Regards

Clare

That's a nice looking Riva. Good price too, I'd buy it if I was in UK or it was here in Ireland.

If you were closer I would snap your hand off, but I'm in the far west of Cornwall with no means to get him here

NOOOOOOOOOOO, Clare. Keep it, keep it. If I had the dosh I'd buy it back. I guess like many of us the economic climate means decisions have to be made. Cracking little motor, never let me down for the 5 years or so I had it. Hope it goes to a good home and not broken. Hope you get the asking price. - Would be a good return on your investment...... lol. Worth every penny of £200. Getting very rare now.

Semtex, it's usually the brakes that need looking at on the MOT.

Martin, I kind of hoped you wouldn't see this! I know I'm going to kick myself by selling but it's something I have to do. He's been sat on my drive for 3 weeks before I finally plucked up the courage to post. I hate to have to do this :cry:

Did it fail an MOT? I'd have a fleet of them if I could and am in North lincs (Brigg) and would fancy a look.

Hey Michael, hes not had an MOT this year. Hes failed on brakes the past couple of years. I'm not saying that'll happen this year but it could.

You're very welcome to come & have a look. My mobile number is in the original post :)

Well don Clare. Hope it gets looked after, not just for me, but for the old boy I bought it off ( no longer with us poor soul). I have to say I don't normally have any sentimental feelings for cars, but this one..... It was just such a damn good car and holds some really good memories.
I took my now wife out on our first date in this car - and she STILL married me!!!!

I've had quite a lengthy chat with the chap that's buying & he's really excited. I think he'll do the Riva justice :D

I usually always get sentimental about the car I drive & I'll certainly miss this one :cry:
