Whats it worth? 1991 Riva 1500

Hi guys, I bought a Lada Riva 1500 a couple of years ago, with the intention to do it up and use it as a daily runner.

Unfortunately I never found the time, so it just sat on the drive waiting.

Its a burgundy/red 4-door saloon, it needs some welding to the front of the sills, and there is a hole in the front of one wing. The paintwork is a bit dull but should polish up alright.

The interior is in good condition, but the drivers seat base frame needs sorting, one corner is held up by a block of wood at the moment!

The engine starts and runs well. Choke works fine.

Obviously no MoT, and currently SORN.

In need of a good clean though:


Roughly how much am I likely to get if I decide to sell?

In A1, you could probably confidently ask about £1500. Base your figure on that.

To be honest, it's worth what someone will pay for it!

For reference though, I got £150 for my Riva back in April which was in a similar condition I think I'd say, back when the camper arrived so I had to sell it.

Given the price of scrap at the moment it's probably a sensible ballpark figure to aim for I'd say.

Looks like I will probably hold onto it for a while then!

I'm in no hurry to move it, but obviously if it was worth a lot I would be better off selling rather than just leaving it sitting there!

For now it can sit on the sideline, hopefully within the next couple of years I will be in a better position to get the work done!
