Some of you may have read the thread on here about my recent acquisition of a very original very low mileage 1600es.
After a few emails/pm's/comments from people on a couple of sites, and given the fact that I am a collector of classic cars and can fully appreciate it when people show objection for what could end up with the destruction of a rare car, I have decided to offer once only, my Lada 1600es for sale.
The reason I have put it up for sale is a very genuine one. I collect old Audi's (have a very large collection of rare early Audi's from the 60's/70's and 80's), and was absolutely gutted to recently find out that a 1 owner from new 1976 Audi 80 estate had ended it's life as a banger racer. As I own one of the other 2 known examples of that model left, I felt rather sickened. Whilst I'm not about to go banger racing in the Lada, there is a chance (especially given the handling of these old Lada's), that it could meet a rather untimely ending. Now whilst it wouldn't overly bother me, it would bother a lot of people who have fondness for these vehicles.
Given the rarity of the vehicle I have not put a price on here and will allow eBay to decide it's fate (price wise).

If she doesn't sell, then I will continue with my plans to transform her in to a period rally car and with a deadline of the end of November looming, work will start very soon!
I'm sure you lot would rather see me use a BMW 1502/1602 to rally in than a 1600es anyway!
many thanks
Coxy
