All right, I am probably going to regret asking this, but as a former Lada owner, (dedicated for thirty years), I hope you will be gentle.

Why is it blasphemous to use the word Volvo here? What is wrong with them?

John.

I don't know why you didn't receive them. They were boxed and securely parcelled up.

I feel pretty bad about this. I'll get a cheque off to you my friend.

Best wishes.

Geoff.

Choke out, tacho showing 1000 rpm I can understand, but was he really doing 10 mph when he photographed the instruments?!

I agree with you Ladaboy. I know some on here will say "Serves you right," but I do miss my Lada's heater, especially now the weather has turned colder. The one on my Toyota diesel isn't half as good. Strange is with it as well; it gets warm, then the air ouput cools off again. After a few miles, it...

Hi Jason. To be honest, I don't know. The car had been stood at mine for some time and not used. Rust wise, the car looks pretty good apart from the offside front wing, but even that was not particularly bad, certainly repairable. However, I couldn't possibly comment on the underside without having ...

Hi Colin. I received a letter fron DVLA on Saturday saying that they had received an application for a V5 and gave me a number to ring if I was still the registered keeper. I phoned them today and told them that I sent the documents off the day after you collected it so you should have no trouble ge...

I'm surprised to see this. I thought Avin really wanted a Riva when I gave him this one, but he's only had it a couple of months!

They are non-interference engines, I speak from experience. My Dad had a timing belt go on his 1300 Riva, cost him a grand total of £25 and some oddses which included a new belt and the labour. (Admittedly, that was back in 1994.)

You cheeky beggar Bazbaz. Until I was taken ill for 11 months, that car was regularly hosed down, washed, waxed and polished. I originally bought it as an MOT failure and it was in a right state when I got it. It was only when I was unwell that it became neglected because I was unable to do anything...

That Lada police car is the one I sold a couple of weeks ago. It is someone on here, but I won't say who; it's up to him if he wants to identify himself.

The sales of condoms in France plummetted today after it was proved yesterday that to f*ck 15 froggies, you only need one jonny.

I hope that hasn't offended anyone, but I thought it was rather good.

Never mind the rugby!

Did anyone see how our ladies took the womens world cup in football today? Not a single goal let in throughout the whole tournament and the first time the trophy has been retained by anyone. Way hay!!!

That's a lovely epithet. I don't think anyone could put it better.
