There is also the question of what exactly it's for......

It won't go off road, I presume it isn't very fast, you can't carry stuff in it or leave it parked in town. And you can't drive it in the rain. What would you do with it?

I find it amazing that he spent all that money on the wheels then couldn't be bothered to paint it. As for offering a respray for £700 quid, is he mad? The rear is all polished metal and it has no roof, there's hardly anything to paint! As for the questionable taste of his customising, I'll keep qui...

Cancel that last thought, I'm leaving the world of Ladas.

But good luck finding a Chevette, in my opinion avoid the saloon and get a hatch, but what do I know about style? ;-)

I've had a couple of Vivas with the same 1256 engine as the Chevette, a good little unit. Or drop in a 2.3 :-)

Sadly I have decided to leave the world of Lada ownership, as realistically I have too many projects on with the Morris and the Camper.

I'll still drop in from time to time.

HELP!!! Solid Riva wanted, preferably in the North West

Hello All, I have been poking under my old Riva with various sharp implements and have been forced to conceed that the old girl is too far gone. Inner and outer sills, chassis rails and floorpans are all gone. Plus it needs bodywork and various other jobs on the prop, rear axle, etc etc etc. So I've...

Let me know if you change your mind.

I've been poking with a screwdriver and my Riva has terminal rust in the sills, footwells and chassis :-(

I need a new Riva and yours has the advantage of being pre-lowered!

I don't know why but I get a premonition that your new project is japanese and boxy? Seems like the kind of thing you'd like.

P.S The fabric braided hose you are replacing does not need to be replaced with similar braided hose. Good quality black rubber fuel hose is what you need, unless you are entering concours and want it to look original ;-). Same goes for the cheap clips which hold the hose on - they need replacing wi...

I believe the hose is a standard metric size. Something like 5mm internal diameter, but I can't remember exactly. someone here will know......... Halfords will probably do it, but your local motor factor needs your business more and will be far more helpful (sermon over). Make sure you buy proper fu...

And here's a rat look bug with all the "correct" bits like polished Porsche rims, roof rack and aircon, which is frankly becoming a bit boring....
