Re: The Definitive Spotted Thread...

At first glance I thought that was a Tatra, but then spotted the badge on the boot! Is it owned by someone famous?

Re: Ebay - "Today I Mostly Bought...."

Yes, GPZ500 restricted at present to 33bhp until July when my 2 year "probation" ends and my A2 licence becomes full motorcycle. Even in it's restricted form it's a fast (for me at least) bike so may just leave restrictors in. 90mph on 2 wheels is quite enough for me!!

Re: Ebay - "Today I Mostly Bought...."

The MZ served its purpose - getting me an A2 motorbike licence - and found a new home in Yorkshire. Fantastic return on my £90 investment too!! Checked receently and it is still taxed and insured, so looks like its still going strong.

Re: Samara pickup

I cannot believe your totally irresponsible attitude to no MOT. The very fact that the car has no current certificate means it is unroadworthy AND instantly renders any insurance you may or may not have, invalid. How can you be so blase? You hit something, your insurance would not pay and someone's ...

Re: Well... Its sort of a Lada

Will have the purists venting steam from their ears! Maybe I'm dense, but why would you want to put a Niva body on a Rover chassis? Seems like a lot of work - for what/

Re: Another Samara 12,400mls E-Bay

I don't think £850 was too much for a rare car with that sort of mileage with tax and M.O.T. If you consider you could weigh it in for scrap for about £150, and even if you just wanted a cheap runabout, this would serve you well. we have just been looking for a replacement car for my wife (there's a...

Just the old tinworm to beware of, but from the pics it looks sound. Never had any issues with any of my samaras (I had 3 for a number of years).

Re: Lada riva 1500 7000 miles from new

My first bike was an MZ TS125 :D Was a great little bike, it just kept going  Yeah, if you look after them they're indestructable! Very simple and roadside-fixable so they don't need a lot of care. Sad to see it go as I managed to get my bike test passed with it last July! @Steve: I think ...

Re: Lada riva 1500 7000 miles from new

Wow £1900 Sold I sincerely hope so. Ebay seems to be full of time wasters with strange mentalities - especially when it comes to cars! But it's also full of oddballs who come up trumps. Flogged my MZ 125 for £400 and the guy wasn't even an MZ enthusiast. came down from Yorks on the train, paid up a...
